Recently, it has come to my attention to incoming data management tools that include XML functionality. By this I mean, data is stored in either a native XML format with a Native XML document management tool or a relation database with XML output or storage of XML data within the database functionality.

One of the recent products I discovered was the Native XML data server from Berkley DB folks called BDB XML which used the Berkley Database with XML functionality layered on top of it.

There are other articles of interest as well such as one talking about native XML databases.

In the process, I discovered and article that talks about this some (see David & Goliath: A Comparison Of XML-Enabled And Native XML Data Management Techniques @ XML JOURNAL).

Oracle of course has their XML functionality (faq)...recently MySql with 5.1 also offers this database with XML functionality.
These types of technologies are good to look at when a data and XML come together.

Hey Eric!

You know, sometimes you and I get along so well --oohing over a cell phone, etc and then there are times when you are just so bloody brilliant that you lose me! I read this post and understood, "Blah, blah, blah, XML. Blah, Blah, blah - ooh, MySQL, yeah! Blah, blah, blah."

Heeheehee :D
I am in awe of you oh great one. I admire people with a great knack for mathmatical / logical skills. I only go so far on the logic scale and then all woman clicks in. (yes, it may seem horrible, but I feel most women possess more artistic / social skills than mathematics / logic skills. Take bad women drivers for instance. Of course, I am not one of those bad women drivers because I have logic! lol, I'm so full of myself.

:P
Hope you and Amy have a wonderful weekend. :)
Love,
Erin
